All Wrapped Up

Serves 1, Preperation time: 5mins

Ingredients

25g (1oz) low fat cream cheese or light garlic and herb soft cheese
1 wholemeal flour tortilla
2 slices lean ham
Small handful sliced cos lettuce
Small handful shredded carrot (optional)

Method

  • Spread the cheese over the flour tortilla, almost to the edges.
  • Lie the sliced ham over the cheese and top with lettuce and carrot in two bundles.
  • Tuck the sides in and roll up to encase the filling. Cut into slices or in two and it's ready!

Variations

Fajita chicken - place a pile of sliced cooked spicy chicken into the centre of the wrap and encase with salsa, lettuce and sliced peppers.

Chicken and avocado - chop up an avocado and mix with a little mayonnaise then pile in the wrap with chicken and lettuce.

Cheese and Pickle - place 30g (1oz) grated half fat Cheddar cheese in the centre of a wrap with a dollop of pickle and some chopped tomatoes and shredded lettuce.

Sandwiches don't have to be boring - this one is simple and colourful and eating a range of different coloured foods helps us get the best balance of nutrients.
